Has anybody looked at this yet? I think it's really cool. Shows how much music you've listened too and what you've listened to the most over the past year. Click here

For me, I had listened to 50000* minutes of music. My top five artists were Saint Motel, Portugal. The Man, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, and Cold War Kids. And my top five genres were Indie Rock, Indie Pop, Garage Rock, Indietronica, and Neo-Psychedelic.

Are you saying it's wrong to talk to a bag of Skittles? Because if so, I'm going to need to rethink a lot of things. :P

that is cool

my top five artists are: Danger Doom, Toro y Moi, Drake, BadBadNotGood, and Tame Impala.
top five genres: Hip Hop, Nu Gaze, Alternative Hip Hop, Indietronica, and Underground Hip Hop.

I listened to 8,594 minutes of music, although that only counts what I listened to on Spotify, which I didn't even have downloaded until late June and even then only used about half the time

Looking back, this is rather depressing. Music can take you so far back. Just listening to these songs again remind me of better, more relaxing days.

I started off the year by listening to: "All Along the Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix
Top Artists: Kendrick Lamar, Rae Sremmurd, Panic! At The Disco, Kanye West?? (don't know how, maybe by clique and power) and Future
Top Albums: SremmLife (Rae Sremmurd), A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (P!ATD), Good Kid, m.A.A.d City (K.Dot), To Pimp a Butterfly (K.Dot), Honest (Future)
Top Tracks: "Wake Up!"-MeTalkPretty, "m.A.A.d City"-K. Dot, "Feds Watching"-2 Chainz, "A.D.H.D."-K. Dot, "Throw Sum Mo"-Rae Sremmurd
Total Minutes: 11,000
Total Hours: 190
Total Days: 8
Different Artists: 272
Different Tracks: 582
EACH SEASON:
Winter: 2 Chainz, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy
Spring: Rae Sremmurd, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean
Summer: Kendrick Lamar, Rae Sremmurd, Panic! At The Disco
Fall/Winter: Kendrick Lamar, Selena Gomez, Rucka Rucka Ali

Top Artists: Arctic Monkeys (183), The Black Keys (91), The Strokes (90), Manchester Orchestra (70), The Raconteurs (57)

Top Albums: Consolers of the Lonely - The Racounteurs (50), Little Joy - Little Joy (47), Favourite Worst Nightmare - Arcitc Monkeys (31), Angles - The Strokes (27), Suck It and See - Arctic Monkeys (26)

Top Tracks: "With Strangers" - Little Joy (16), "Under Cover of Darkness" - The Strokes (14), "If You've Found This It's Probably Too Late" - Arctic Monkeys (11), "Out On The Town" - fun. (9), "The City" - The 1975 (9)

Total minutes: 4,527
Total artists: 159
Total tracks: 700

What I find most interesting about this is that of The Racounteurs' two albums, I played one 50 times and one 7 times. Also, if Little Joy had multiple albums, it looks like they would have easily cracked my top five.

very nice. moon pix is one of my favorite albums ever.

Top Artists: Death Cab for Cutie (461), The Magnetic Fields (448), Big Star (423), The Mountain Goats (355), Mineral (309)

Top Albums: 69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields (305), #1 Record/Radio City by Big Star (269) (this result is skewed because it's two albums in one but I did spend a shitton of time listening to these), Suburban Light by The Clientele (227), EndSerenading by Mineral (212), We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes by Death Cab for Cutie (167)

Top Tracks: 'Amateur Cartography' by Dowsing (54), 'September Gurls' by Big Star (49), 'Found Out About You' by Gin Blossoms (43), 'Reflections After Jane' by The Clientele (40), 'I Had to Say This' by The Clientele (39)

Top Genres: Indie Rock, Lo-Fi, Emo, Alternative Rock, Indie Pop (jesus this is Quite Homogeneous)

overall, 58,000 minutes, 966 hours, 40 days.

also, because this is incredibly interesting to me as well, by season:

winter: Mineral (145), Death Cab for Cutie (109), The National (98)
spring: The Mountain Goats (231), The Magnetic Fields (181), Big Star (133)
summer: Big Star (251), The Magnetic Fields (226), Bright Eyes (191)
autumn at the point this came out (this has certainly changed now as last.fm tells me I've scrobbled the magnetic fields 190 times in the past month, for example): Death Cab for Cutie (104), The American Analog Set (79), Bedhead (63)

very interesting.

also, this won't be 100% accurate because I don't do all of my listening on spotify but this is as good a picture as any

Lmfao....... recently determined (like a year ago) that their stretch from we have the facts to transatlanticism is nearly perfect. and it's perfect 16-17 year old music, plus we have the facts works really well in winter, the photo album works really well in spring + autumn, and transatlanticism just kinda works All The Time. so it worked well for me. love it

Does anyone feel that they have one artist/song/album that really Defined their year, but wasn't represented all that much on their Spotify year in music for some reason or another?

I personally was bumping all three of Dr. Dre's albums throughout much of the Fall, but The Chronic and Compton aren't on Spotify.

Also listened to a helluva lot of Father John Misty this year. Especially his latest album.
