Thanks, P. I only know the basic rules of baseball (3 strikes, 4 balls, tie goes to the runner, lol). Hopefully when the season ends, it will ask me whether I want to swap my ir player in for someone else.

I guess I could sim to the end, just to see. If he won't be eligible to play, I'll probably continue playing his replacement so I can get used to him and see if I want to change my lineup order

So...I simmed to the end of the regular season, and then went day by day until the 1st day of the playoffs and was not given the opportunity to adjust my post season roster. It sucks having to play my backup, but there's no crying in baseball so I'll just suck it up!

You have to adjust it before August 31st or else you'll have the same team, and i don't know if this is my first post, but I'm new here, and I've been playing PP since 07, and i haven't dropped it since!

So my expansion team, the Honeybees (yes the generic name), won the world series with an 98-64 record, and only 6 success players. (yes the success players are..sorta OP.)

I have never seen this before, in '07 or '08. I'm about 4 trips through my rotation in my Roadrunners log and, even though I gave my top 4 starters recovery, I keep having to go to a six man rotation because my pitchers aren't recovering as quickly as they should be. I have tried keeping them in a traditional rotation as well as moving them to swingmen, but the same thing keeps happening. Anyone else ever see this?

yes, starters get a debuff on recovering, put them in long reliever or anything else, and the starters recover much quicker.
Also, make sure when they start to get tired, just put in a new reliever.

like how I've mentioned before, I do not think a human controlled team can properly use a 5 starter rotation. ("Properly" defined as: no need for a spot start in a rotation cycle)

If a starter is working with 4 days of rest:
- they will miss their next start if they get to 7.0 IP in the previous start
- they will miss their next start if you make them throw a pitch after they start to wipe sweat off their head (panting comes after)

It's which ever of those 2 events come first; so when I manually play in games - and have a 5 person rotation - , I would pull my starter after 6 2/3 (6.2) IP if they are not showing any fatigue.
If I notice that their pitch count is high, I will take a pause between pitches to read if they are showing fatigue. So if they get to 5 1/3 (5.1) IP, and start doing the wipe animation, I will pull them.

That's why I do not think Recovery 4 actually does anything since if you surpass either of those 2 events, they will still miss their next start on 4 days of rest. (Again, if it is a 5 person rotation)

I always put my starters in the 'Rest' practice mode but I think that just affects the fatigue meter; likewise, I think the fatigue meter just affects how much skill they lose if they're 35 or older when the season ends. Or the fatigue actually impedes on their numerical skills (contact, power, etc.).

Sucks that there's this big of a flaw in this game. Really screws with your personnel and overall pitching talent when you have to keep 6 SP's on a team.

I think this is overly harsh. I don't make my own players so my starters never have level 4 recovery. If I list my swingman as a starter and my starters as a swingman, and pull my pitchers after they finish the next batter in which they start fatiguing, I only need my swingman every 3rd of 4th way through the rotation. The number of innings is not that important, but pulling them soon after they're fatigued is
