Yeah I was confused there. I was really more trying to clear up what skittles said more than asking the question myself. Glad we're all back to normal now.

Sorry if this torks anyone off, but I have conducted my experiment. Just so you don't think I faked this or anything, here's what my controls were:

-Same motivation (in this case, 9)
-Same Vitality (vitality full)
-Same Level of practice (level 1 Accuracy practice)
-Same practice result (in this case, 4 OK's, 1 XX.)
-No coach at the practice both times
-Same angle of picture (the second picture was off-kilter a bit, so I only adjusted it -1 degrees)

Since the Focus Stone 2 wasn't available, I decided to use the regular focus stone for this experiment, which gives you +1 Technique points, and decreses/increases (still havent figured that out yet) vitality by 2. Which isn't much.

Here's what my vitality was like after the first Accuracy practice:



In this particular practice, I received 24 technique points, and 2 mentality points. I then went to Ducks to get my vitality to normal (which then caused my motivation to go to 10), and then the next event to go to Bison to grab my focus stone. Just so you know, I didn't do anything except hit the progress button until Bison showed up. Which meant that these events all occurred within the same week.

Thankfully, the Steak lady showed up to bump my motivation back down to 9 (and thankfully didn't decrease vitality), and here's what I got for vitality remaining in my next Accuracy practice:



Now, for some odd reason, I got the same result (stat-wise) as the first practice, only my technique points went up by 3. Maybe that was supposed to happen, or maybe it was random what I was supposed to get, who knows, but it did increase my technique points.

Now, even I looked at these pictures, and they don't seem that off to me, although it does look like the second picture has a slightly higher vitality than the first picture. But the "more technique points than I should've gotten" thing could be an issue. More repetition of this experiment by other users may be necessary to prove whether or not the focus stone drains more vitality in practice.

You're right, it does seem to be higher. I'll have to test this out myself; I've never used any of the practice items because I thought they cost you more vitality. This could be incredibly useful, especially with the concentration earplugs for pitchers, since mentality is needed for control.

I think we need to get focus stone 2 for a real test.
