Trust me when I say I don't believe you. It doesn't have any players or teams that I know and love, plus it's in Japanese. I know that's supposedly not an issue, but I just feel like that would hinder the enjoyment of the game

That's something that annoys me, when people write something off that they've never tried.

Sure, it's the Japanese teams, and sure, it's in Japanese. But so what? You don't know if you would like it or not until you've played it for yourself.

Frankly, the American game is hindered greatly by stupid AI, pretty clunky controls (at least on the Wii), poor visuals, and a horrendous announcer. It's deep, yes, and also very fun, but when compared to the Japanese versions, it may as well be Baseball for the NES.

Also, trust me when I say that the fact that it's in Japanese doesn't hinder the experience.

It wouldn't hinder your enjoyment at all. The menus are incredibly easy to go through, and the names of the modes are even in English!

I'd tell you to give it a try, but you don't even have a PS3, so it really doesn't matter.

I'm writing it off because I have enough doubts that I wouldn't want to spend almost 100 dollars on the game (well, if I had PS3 anyways) I'm hardly affected by the "issues" in 08, so I'd rather stick with the American versions

And maybe I am. But the American versions and fun and deep enough that I don't think buying the Japanese title would be a good enough investment, especially if I were to not like the games

It would be like a new and advanced Portal game being created, but the game is in Polish and the price is bumped up 25 dollars. Sure, it may be a good game, but you aren't able to build relationships with any other characters in the game due to the fact you have no idea what they're saying.

You know, you can always return it if you don't like it.

But, whatever.

Play-Asia sells it, and, really, that's the only one you need.

When I said "most" I was referring to websites that sell things in general.
