Ghetto Life, Part 3 Damien scrambled off to find his own girl to hit on. He ran into - literally, ran into - someone while he was thinking. He helped her up. “Ow, I think I might have broken my arm. I think I’m going to need your name and number, you know, for insurance.” She giggled. “Yeah, I’ll write it down.” “Just tell me,” Damien said, taking out his original iPhone and opening the Notes app. “Okay, it’s…” Ten digits later, Damien had the name and number of the girl, Kisha Black. He watched as the girl pushed LaMarcus, then yelled something at him. He crossed the street quickly to prevent LaMarcus from fighting her. “Hey, hey, hey, calm down,” he said to LaMarcus. “Where have you been?” LaMarcus asked. “Getting some lightskin’s number,” Damien replied. They went back to the apartment complex, and hung out in LaMarcus’s apartment. What do you want to do? (ZeroGibson13) A. Call Kisha B. Go to the gym C. Throw a huge party D. Put on some music The Scandal, Part 3 John turned back and ran towards the gunshots, not away from them as he had been taught. He entered an apartment building, where he took the elevator to the third floor. “Get down!” someone screamed at him. John dived out of the elevator and under a table in the hallway. He watched from there as a bunch of black kids duked it out. One looked familiar, and was way bigger than anyone else. After he beat everyone up, the big guy put them all in the elevator and sent it down to the first floor. “What was that about?” John said as he got up. “That, son, was a gang battle,” the guy said. “I’m Kerry Washington, by the way.” “I’m John Martinez.” “So, uh, listen, we’re looking for new members in our gang, the Tulip Tribe. It’s, uh, named after my football team.” “You go to Powerful High, too? And you play football too?” “Yeah, I’m a d-lineman,” Kerry told him through heavy breaths. “So, uh, anyway, you wanna join the Tribe?” “What’s in it for me?” John asked. “Well, you get me on your good side. Plus, all new members get a pack of cigs on me,” Kerry told him, pulling out a box of Marlboros. He took one out, lit it, and took a puff. “I’ll think about it. Can you give me your phone number, so I can call you when I decide?” Kerry recited his number, and John left. What to do? (Baseballteen9500) A. Call him (Specify whether you will join the gang) B. Work out C. Go home and write bad jokes D. Shave your majestic beard The Italian, Part 3 Tony reached out…and shook Ben’s hand. “So, uh, anyways, I guess we should continue our workout now,” he said, faking a smile for their visitor. It turned out to be the football coach, so Tony was lucky enough to avoid leaving a bad impression on him. Tony went down to the field, retrieved his ball and tee, and left after making an agreement that they would forget the fight had even happened. Where to go? (PowerPro Jr) A. Go into town B. Go home and try to cover up your injuries C. Go to the back-to-school social event later D. Go talk to the coach Shoegaze and Slowcore, Part 3 William decided he would pace himself. Heading into the final stretch on the fourth lap, he started going faster, and finished with a 6:15 time, much better than his previous run. “And with that, you’ve made the team. Congratulations,” his cross-country coach said, handing him a red tank top and shorts - the team’s uniform. He shook the coach’s hand and went home, where he tried on the uniform. It fit perfectly, but William took it off and put on a fresh T-shirt - turquoise, his favorite color - and shorts. He picked up the iPod that had been charging, put in his earbuds, and hit “play”, triggering the iPod to pick a song from his playlist. The first song was by DIIV. What do you want to do? (maccrash21) A. Sit there and listen to music B. Run more C. Go get some lunch D. Go into town, but don’t get lunch Shakespeare Scholar, Part 3 Cordelia decided to go down to the local theater for a movie. After reviewing her options, she decided to see Frozen, just so she could say that she had seen it. After the movie, she started to leave, when she ran into a pole - er, rather, a boy, shaped like a pole. The boy flipped his long, gold hair. “So, how was the movie?” he asked. Review Frozen! (Powerprosfan31) A. It was great! B. It was okay C. It was boring D. Forget the movie, ask him out! Cass or Cassie, Part 3 Cassie went down to the field. When the game took a break, she went over to one of the kids playing. “Hey, can I join the game?” she asked. “Sure, what position?” “Midfielder,” she said. “Okay,” he said as he told her what they were doing. “I’m Alex, by the way,” he said, “and I’m the goalie.” Alex ran a hand through his long, gold hair, and raced off toward the goal. The game started up again, with the score tied at three. On the first possession, Cass got the ball and went up the field, two on one, with a teammate open. What do you do? (detroittigers15) A. Fake them out, try to score B. Make the pass, settle in a good position for a pass back C. Kick really hard D. Distract them, then pass 69, Part 3 Did I sign up for that? Jeffrey wondered. Oh well, can’t pass up an opportunity to plug the club… “Yeah, I guess. Listen, I have this club at school, and I wondered if you would want to join…” “Maybe, what’s the club?” “It’s called the Master Bates club, we worship our lord and savior Norman Bates, and stuff like that.” “I’ll join just for that name,” Cody told him. Scream …For Threeeeee!, Part 3 Jordyn agreed to go shopping, with two conditions. “I’ll pay for it, but I want to drive,” she said. Her parents looked at each other, then reluctantly agreed. Since Jordyn was 16, she had her driver’s license, and her own car, a blue 2012 Corolla. She went up to her room to get her wallet, then left. Where are you going? (BrewersFuzz) A. Thrift store (Cost: $5) B. Supermarket (Cost: $40) C. Fancy store (Cost: $200, increased trust from Mom) D. McDonald’s (Cost: $2, decreased trust from Mom) Gunnin’ for the Gallery, Part 3 Gunner decided he would go back to the orphanage he called home. Before he could get anywhere, he was stopped by a girl with curly, black hair, wearing a pink shirt and pink jeans. “Hey, can you do me a favor?” she asked. Before Gunner could respond, she said, “Great! Go down to the copy room and make fifty copies of this.” “Five-zero?” he asked. “Yes, you idiot! Now go before I have my dad expel you!” Gunner took the paper and ran toward the library. Once he got in there, he went up to the second floor, where he found a copier. After making one copy, Gunner told the machine to make 49 more, then sat down to read the paper. It was a flyer for a huge party in the school gym, with music, food, and games! Once he finished, he made one extra copy, stuffed it in his pocket, and went back to the girl to give her the copies. She didn’t thank him. Gunner then went to the orphanage and had a snack before sitting down to think about the party. Do you go? (Paul McCartney15) A. Yes, and be the life of the party B. Yes, but just blend in C. No, and stay at the orphanage D. No, but sneak out and throw your own party The Humble Snob, Part 3 Ben got home and headed straight for the stairs to go to his room, afraid his sister would tell on him if she saw. He got into his room and locked the door, then went in the bathroom and tried to patch himself up the best he could. The black eye he had wasn’t going to go away anytime soon, but his bruises could be covered up by wearing long sleeves. If my mom sees this black eye, she’s gonna flip, Ben thought. What do you do? (GoTwins24) A. Try to hide it by wearing a hoodie really tight all the time B. Go live with a friend until it goes away C. Just own up to it D. Lie to everyone about the circumstances |
