Okay Andrew, but if my hitting coach says otherwise, then I won't do it.

Baseballteen9500, I'm waiting on you for hitting practices.

After extensive negotiations, the Baltimore Orioles have signed left-handed starting pitcher Chuck James to a 1 year, $390,000 contract. When asked about the move, Orioles GM Jeff Harvey replied: "We have had a lack of quality starters, and Chuck was a good pickup to fill that hole." The Orioles demoted RP Troy Patton to sign him.

Earlier in the week, the Orioles promoted AAA pitchers Fernando Cabrera and Chris Ray, demoting RP Dennis Sarfate and 2B Eider Torres to do so.

GM Harvey has also alluded to a trade being in the works.

In a somewhat sudden move, the Baltimore Orioles have traded SP Steve Trachsel to the Tigers for SP Justin Verlander. When asked what spurred the deal, GM Jeff Harvey said, "Steve (Trachsel) was getting older, and we wanted to look for some youth. That's when we remembered Justin (Verlander). We believe he could be a future Cy Young winner."

As of now, this deal looks like a steal, but things may change in the future.

Ooh, Justin Verlander.

I think he only has one breaking ball which is still like, a level 1-2, make him work on that.

He actually has two level two pitches, but his upside is his stamina (A) and his top speed (99 mph).

I'd like to hear from my pitching coach as to how I should train Verlander. He's young enough that he should be with me the whole way.

Alright, he should work on the curveball then. No point on working on stamina/control.

His control is a D. But the curve may be the best choice. Thanks for the input!
