My rating order for each episode would be:
(1= best, 7= worst)

1) Episode V
2) Episode IV
3) Episode VI
4.5) Episode VII
4.5) Episode III
6) Episode II
7) Episode I

Episodes 3 and 7 are tied so far

I don't think I put any spoilers here (let's be honest here, if you haven't seen the newest movie by now, you don't really care about it)

I feel like I have to see The Force Awakens a few more times to get a better understanding to where it fits on my list.
When I first saw it, I thought it placed in the top two. After letting the plot sit in my mind for a few days, I came to realize it needed better writing. Some parts seemed rushed to help advance the plot. But at the same time, most sci-fi films need time to introduce the aspects of the plot and setting so no one is lost. I guess in Episode VII, they had to reintroduce some of those.

1. Episode IV
2. Episode VII
3. Episode V
4. Episode VI
5. Episode III
Not even going to rank the other two, I can't determine which of the two is better/worse.

A NEW HOPE is, for me, infinitely watchable, and is #1.
EMPIRE ranks 4th for me.
JEDI is 3rd. Luke is my favorite character in the saga, I love his more mature Jedi self, and I love that there's so much screen time between he and Vader.
The Prequels I lump into one big 5th place position. Could have just done one big 3 or 4 hour movie about the fall of Anakin Skywalker, and I'd be just as happy with the saga.
TFA is currently tied for #1, and the edge because it has the novelty/mystery factor going for it. If I could put any SW movie on my TV right now, TFA would be it. Time will tell how it ranks once Eps 8 & 9 are released.

Having seen all 7 of the movies, I can say that it is certainly
A toss-up. I'll start by
Narrowing my choices down to the final four
Star Wars films, as numbers
One through Three, while not really as bad as everyone claimed, were certainly
Lackluster compared to the rest.
On one hand, Lucas' films were absolute classics, but new
Director JJ Abrams did a great job with The Force Awakens, a unique and captivating film that still stayed true to its roots.
In my opinion, however, I would say my favorite of the 7 is:
Empire Strikes Back, followed by A New Hope, then The Force Awakens.
Speaking of The Force Awakens, if you haven't seen it, then you probably shouldn't read the first letter of each line of this post.

Lmao I figured something was up like three lines into reading this.

Anyway

1.) Empire Strikes Back
2.) A New Hope
3.) The Force Awakens
4.) Return of the Jedi
5.) Revenge of the Sith

6.) Attack of the Clones I guess
7.) phantom of the menace or whatever the *(censored)*

Episodes I-III were definitely more complicated for me to follow (the senate, the emporer, and the Jedi politics), so I was glad that we are sticking with a clearer "bad guys versus good guys" themes for this last movie and the next one.

One aspect of all the movies that I find very annoying is how much emotion the robots show. I like the Terminator robots - no emotion - just logic and force

empire strikes back is undoubtedly the best star wars film, probably the best sequel to any film of all time and is arguably the greatest film of all time.

then a new hope, the force awakens, return of the jedi, attack of the clones, revenge of the sith and then finally the phantom menace

jar jar isnt even that bad of a character..i get why most people dislike him though
