Post subject:  Poll of the Day #126|How long will PS3 and 360 be supported?
Well, ten days ago, the PS4 was announced. And likely this month the Xbox "720" will be announced. With new consoles comes to slow death of the generation before it. I think that, except for sports games, 2015 will be the year that games will be solely for the PS4 and "720", because of this quote by Jim Ryan.
Jim Ryan, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe wrote:
"...PS3 is a very important part of our portfolio, certainly in 2013, 2014, and probably beyond that."

So, how long do you think most games will stop being made for PS3 and 360? This year? Next year? 2015? Sometime beyond that?

Well, after the PS3 came out, games were still being made for the PS2 'til as late as last year, so I think the PS3 could stay around until at least 2015.

I said 2015. This is a really crappy time to want to get a new console. :(

I'll say 2014, although 2015 is a viable option as well.

I think it'll probably Stop around '16 or '17 because PS2 games were still made when the PS3 came out.

I know original Xbox Live servers on the Xbox didn't go down till like 20(11 I think? Maybe 10.)
