I don't know about that. Are high schoolers really looking to be together forever while dating in high school? Most of it is just to have fun with a girl/boy.

Well, most of them. But I'm mainly talking about the ones that will actually amount to something in life and the average ones.

Skittles is right, some of them want more than to "just have fun."

And it's awful, especially when it's one-sided.

But, hey, some high school relationships work out in the end, less so than college (which is less so than in the "real world," but, eh), but yeah. Ya never know.

That's partially because as the older you get, the less of an issue age is. My parents were born 13 years apart, but a 10 year old dating a 23 would be strange (and probably illegal...). But a 23 year old dating a 36 year old is typically fine. Heck, even in middle school, a 6th grader "dating" an 8th grader is considered very weird, even if they are only one year (in age) apart.

And I have the pleasure of rooting for a team that has about 10 capable closers. But still, I'm pulling for the Tigers to win it all in the AL Central until they get swept in the playoffs by the Rangers

No offense, but I love it when the Tigers fail. I have this friend who is an avid Detroit fan, and we enjoy mocking the Tigers (or any Detroit team) when they lose. He's typically a good sport about it, mainly because he can stab back when the Red Sox or Rays lose too.
