I go back on the 23rd. I usually get out of school in the 1st week of June, and my school day is 7:25-2:25. We go to 2:05 on Wednesdays so the teachers can have after-school meetings.

And with the thing on electives, what if you want to or need to learn something outside of core classes? Cooking is a life skill, no college will take you without a foreign language, and what if you're really interested in music or computer science or psychology and want to make a career out of it?

Just recently started watching the 7th season of Futurama, I've watched the first two episodes of it now. I'm surprised it was still good after it came back after so many years, but god season 7 has been terrible from what I've watched so far, hopefully the rest of the episodes are better...

That's a good point.

We need electives, even though they elongate the day.

Plus, it's a nice break to the core curriculum.

So you're saying you'd rather have three electives a day instead of just going home? Cooking isn't too hard as long as you know what you're doing, and if people want to learn other things like computers, then they can be able to take an extra class after school.

And I get out an hour early every Wednesday, so that might be why I have a shorter Summer

Sure, it would be nice to get out of school earlier, but that wouldn't work. Hell, it couldn't work.

Colleges all want well-rounded students, they don't give a shit if you're a straight A, top of the class, genius. If that's all you're good at, being book smart, they won't give you a second look.
