If Dickey isn't taken, I'll take him. Make him get his knuckler to a 5, and then improve his control. When he's that good, you should make him your closer.

A recap would be good.

I'll take Beltre, with the additional rights to Ryan Sweeney or Clay Timpner should you trade for either.

Prediction, I hope that list I made will help you in thinking of trade ideas.

Jose Vidro would like to work on Trajectory, while Brad Wilkerson word like to work on Contact. I also recommend trading for Brandon Lyon, as I can never get a hit off him in MLB Life.

My esteemed client, Mr. Elijah Dukes, would like to express his most heartfelt apologies for being absent up to this point. He has been in his secret underground lair, perfecting a new Duke's Jerkey flavor: King Felix's High Heat Hot Sauce jerkey. While Mr. Dukes does not have the expressed written consent of Felix or the Mariners, Mr. Dukes can be quite convincing, what with his ability to disembowel bovines using only flatware and whatnot. In fact, consider this a formal request on behalf of Mr. Dukes, who . . .

Wait, the Mariners have not traded for Mr. Dukes yet? Oh. Mr. Dukes will be most displeased by this unfortunate non-turn of events. Most displeased indeed. I will be cowering under my desk until further notice.

Alright, I'll update the roster and get that all going for you.

Yeah phillies, that was just a brief thing I wanted to throw in there. Definitely some more guys we're looking for.

April 30th, 2008.

Mariners lose in valiant effort to comeback.

Mariners: 9
Indians: 14

Win: Breslow (2-0)
Save: X
Loss: Green
HR: Ibanez (6)
Wilkerson (1)

The Mariners lose, a valiant effort however as they rallied to take the lead by scoring six runs in the fourth after scoring three in the second to take the lead, that wouldn't last however as the Indians didn't give up, scoring a total of six runs while the Mariners were shutout over five innings to end the ball game.

Jake Westbrook: (3 & 2/3 IP, 9 R, 10 H, 0 K'S)
Casey Blake: (4-5, 2 2B, 4 RBI)

May 1st, 2008.

Elijah Dukes heading to Seattle.

The Seattle Mariners have acquired outfielder Elijah Dukes from the Washington Nationals as well as five million dollars in funds in exchange for pricey and ageing first baseman Richie Sexson. Richie is currently two homeruns away from the 300 mark and will more than likely reach that in our nations capital.

Dukes: GDDCCC3

Outfielder/1st baseman Greg Norton has latched onto a spot in the starting lineup as he is the only other capable first baseman in the organization.

Any ideas on who to get over Greg? He's 38 if my math is right.

Connor Jackson or Casey Kotchman are good choices. Dukes? Seriously?
