I give really new members benefit of the doubt, but by this point Ham Bone just doesn't understand. We tell him things, and he just totally forgets and most things are just common sense. It's just gotten rediculous by this point.

He's PMed me several times about things, and I'm willing to help him out there, but I'm a full-blown GPS Nazi and I can't stand misspelled words.

You're all overreacting. Ham obviously doesn't take it too personally as he's still here.

Also, don't give me that "this forum isn't accepting enough" crap. We're nicer than most communities are to new members. Ham needs to know of his mistakes, and sometimes the only way to get through to people is with harsh words.

Mac: He's said at least twice since I've back all of two days that he didn't like it. Just because its not "threatening to leave" level yet doesn't mean its right or that it should continue. Also, even if we are "better than most", why can't we be the best? Maybe Ham needs to correct his "mistakes" as you call them, but trust me, being harsh isn't the right way

Now, sure, I've been rude to Ham Bone in the past, but, even I think that this quoting business is a little overboard. I mean, sure, he makes a lot of mistakes, but there has to be a better way to put it. Hell, there is a better way to put it, it's just that nobody here is doing it.

It's really too bad, since, as rob said, it can be discouraging for potential new members to see.

Now, Ham Bone, I'm sorry for what I've said in the past.

Let us continue on, and make this place the best damn forum as possible.

Sure, there's a better way, but if peace always worked there'd be no wars. I mean he made a whole topic about becoming a "Developer" where we properly told him how, and then he makes the post that's in cooldude's signature last week. He didn't go back and look at the topic, let alone even remember it existed. It's just simple things like that that just baffles you.

I've tried to stay out of this whole thing... but it's been going on for a while now.

I'm with PPfan, dish, Zumi, LM, and whoever else. At first, everyone ragged on him, and it was mostly because it was made so easy for us (not that that makes it any better). I'm sure I'm guilty of mocking him at least once, as is probably most everyone else on the forum. But that's in the past now... at least it should be.

However, he's matured a lot and most of the things he's mocked for are kind of a stretch. It's like it's become a competition to see who can find the most things to make fun of him about, not to mention that everyone's quoting him to try to win best signature...

A group of people ragging on each other is fun. A group of people ragging on one guy is just mean.

I can't say anything. I'm speechless. And not in a good way. I have tried real hard. I'll be back... sometime. But for now HB out.

I thank however stood up for me, but apparently some people think I don't put any meaning in my posts. So I will just sign off for a while, so no one can make anymore fun of me. But I have other sources on this sight, so I'll know if you say (or post) anything behind my back.
