Well he's not supposed to be. And I can tell you it would have to be Machado + Kershaw to be close.

And lol at Machado + Kershaw being close. Kershaw would be way overpaying for Longo. Machado would just be icing on the cake.

No. I'm set with pitching (except for Corbin, maybe). If I'm trading Machado, I'd like a good-as or better 3B in return. Besides, Medlen's status is up in the air. So why would I trade for him?

This is the problem with same position trades. You need to find someone who's guy you value more than your own, and who values your guy more than theirs. That's not easy. Nobody (hopefully) is going to think, "Hey, I like my 3B _______ more than Machado, but I'll make the trade anyways."

If you're hell-bent on a trade, try looking at Alvarez, Lawrie, and Prado. Those are the three ranked closest to Machado

No, I wouldn't say that's where I'm going. I'm just putting out the guys I'm not considering untouchable out there to see what happens.
And obviously that was an exaggeration, only a mistake on my part by putting Longoria there.

Trade News!
Today, the first real trade of the season was accepted, with the Mendenhals sending Astros pitcher Jesse Crain to the Rhinos for Padres pitcher Joaquin Benoit. However, the implications of this trade are not huge. These guys are both very low-end relievers and are not expected to do much this season. If I am forced to choose which team got the better side, I'd say the Rhinos. Crain is a better pitcher, and will likely win the Astros job whenever he gets fully healthy. Benoit is nothing more than a stopgap for when Huston Street gets injured.
