Do any of the moderators know what to do to fix the poll for this thread?

I'm starting to lose motivation about this.

But our record in April was 16-11 and we're 1 behind the rangers for the west

Well its the middle of the month of May and I lead the West by 1 game,

Griffiths is the new starting catching
In 96 Abs, he has .354 AVG 3 homers and 14 rbis. When Thurston comes back, I'm thinking of trading Sparks and Betancourt for a relief pitcher, benancourt has an ERA in like the 6's
Sabathia's ERA is over 4, Carlyle's is under 3, McDaniel I think has an ERA over 5 and Zadan's is over 4, Nixon's ERA is around 3.50

Bay only has a .250 AVG, but he does have 9 homers which is good for power but I'd liek him to bat at least around .270

Alcheves has been struggling, hes batting around .240 now, I'm starting to wonder if he will ever be the same as his rookie of the year season

And Prado has only around a .260 AVG

I would do the mailbag tonite but I need to figure out two things to help answer my questions, which I can't cause my sisters friend is sleeping over but maybe if they get out of that room....

Today we will answer 5 questions from fans that have questions about the Eagles


Why do you think Alcheves is slumping right now? Do you think he can get back to their former glory?

Alcheves had a great ROTY season but its starting to look like he'll never get close to thats season he had. He is batting only .237 with 4 homers and 22 Rbis. He is our leadoff man right now because of his great speed, but his average, along to go with his 8 walks to 34 strikouts, doesn't make him look like one anymore, as for K's since 2008 on the team, he is second only to Brady but since we don't have anyone else to really fill the gap, he's our leadoff man.
But to really get to your question, in 2008 he had E contact and thats when he hit over .300 and had 20 homeruns, now he has C contact. His abilities increase, except his stats have shown nothing this year, but even if he can get back to his 2009 stats then that'd be just fine.

Do you think the Smoke have any chance at winning the wild card in the next 2 years?

It's hard to say, right now the are 17-20 and are in a 2-8 slide, they would be an over .500 team without the slide. The Smoke have no players on their rosters that are from other teams and they have the same exact team from 2008. Maybe in a few years they have a chance in the AL centreal thats struggling, they do lead the AL central with a 4.40 ERA which isn't bad, they're going to need to hang on to Jerolemon(.348 AVG) and any of their pitchers that look like they belong on the major leauge team.

Most likely not but you never know, once Thurston returns they won't need Sparks because they have Solano to backup Griffiths and play all positions except for pitcher, second and shortstop. Betancourt has struggled and he could be shipped off with Sparks for a relief pitcher, but don't expect any great moves.

After a great start, hes batting only .237 with 9 homeruns, he is still the O's starting catcher though and will improve with each month(and for the record, my cousin made me delete him cause he only gave him to me to finish the orioles roster )

As far as standings go, the Red sox, ud, the white sox, the dodgers, the reds and the mets all lead their divisions. The dodgers are have the best record in the majors while the Padres are only a 9 win team . The Yankees are also last in their division with a 14-27 record, which is nothing like the Yankees who made the playoffs the last few years

Me, the Mariners and the A's are tied for first right now, and the angels are only 3 games behind and they're in last, this is gonna be a tough division

And Mcillan is 10-11 in saves and he hasnt given up an earned run all season(in his blown save he let up an unearned run)

Alcheves is on fire! He has a .273 AVG and he got it up there in only 1 week, Brady's hit about 5 homers in the last week too

Eagles aquire Villanueva from Brewers
The Eagles have aquired right-handed pitcher, Carlos Villanueva from the Brewers in exchange for catcher Sparks who had a .267 AVG, Betancourt, who had a 5.99 ERA and 9000 points.
Villanueva had a 2.08 ERA for the Brewers in 2010, the Eagles also called up Thurston who came off the disabled list
